FIFA 10 Game Review

BASICS

• FIFA 10 is a good football game its one of the best games in the sport genre. the target audience are any age mostly football fans anywhere in the world and mainly based on the male gender.
  

Narrative/structure

• The objective of the game is to play football matches against other teams and win the league and domestic trophies. there are no levels on this game but you can improve your league position and gain promotion the higher leagues.
  

Action

• During the game you will play against teams from almost any league in many different competitions. the difficulty varies because the teams difficulty's are giving a star rating between half a star and 5 star. You sometimes get rewards for doing tasks in manager mode by gaining points which allow you to buy extras E.G different football stadiums or shirts. This is quite an addicting game because there are many different leagues and players which keep the person playing the game interested.
  

Character

• There are no good or bad characters just different football players on your team and the opposing team.the characters have no special abilities just an overall rating to show how good the player is E.G. 82 overall. The cultural iconography is based on real football players.

Visuals

• The Graphic style used in this game is photo realistic.


• The visuals create an atmosphere that makes you feel like your at the match.


• The visuals give the player different facial expressions.


• The graphics have a pretty high quality for the game.


• The visuals give the player different expressions depending what has happened E.G when you score the character will be smiling and cheering.

Sound

• During the matches the sound of the fans cheering when you are 3 - 0 up in a match if you pass the ball about a without been tackled the fans start cheering loud for every pass, when it comes to the end of the match the fans start to whistle loudly to hint that its nearly the end of the match. When the referee blows his whistle the player stops which makes the game more lifelike. when youre going through the menus on the game there is music by many different artists playing, you can switch these song off or select the ones that you like to play only.
  
  

Conclusion

• FIFA 10's main rival is Pro Evo soccer but my opinion is that FIFA 10 is alot better.


• The positives are that its a fun game that is addictive and you wont get bored of it


• The negatives for the game are that the referees on the game are quite strict with some of the tackles that are made.


• I would rate this game 9/10

Manchester united penalty challenge

This is a sport game, its an easy game just click when the arrow reaches the place where you want to shoot at and click when it reaches the amount of power you want to use. this games has 2D graphics and its a good game for any football fan but the graphics could be better. its easy to play. http://www.manutd.com I rate this game 3/5.

Rescue the band

Rescue the band is a driving game, you have to avoid the traffic and hit the blue van to rescue the band. the graphics on this game are similar to the PlayStation 1 graphics. the good points about this game are its fun and addictive and the bad points about this game are its repetitive and it has a small screen. its a difficult game and quite challenging you need to have good concentration for this game. www.okgo.net/rescuetheband I rate this game 4/5.

pacman

Pacman is an arcade or maze game, the objective of the game is to collects the dots using the arrow keys on your keyboard to send you up down left and right, to complete a level you must collect the dots and avoid the ghost like characters within your 3 lives.

The graphics on this game are colourful and incredibly basic, the good points about this game are its fun and addicting, the bad points are that its repetitive.
